Bellefontaine Intermediate School students recently participated in a pumpkin walk, where they checked out pumpkin characters created by third-graders in Brooke Pulfer and Andy Crabill’s classes. Students decorated a pumpkin based on their favorite book character, then wrote a short paragraph about why that character was their favorite. While students were admiring each other’s pumpkins, they were able to leave positive notes to the creator of the pumpkin. Some of the notes read “Wow, you are very creative,” “You did a great job making this look like the character,” and “You should be really proud of your work.” The kids liked seeing each other’s hard work on display and being encouraged through the notes. The pumpkins are now located in the display case for the whole school to see. (BELLEFONTAINE SCHOOLS PHOTO)
