The property owner who placed two demolition derby cars on the lawn of a downtown Zanesfield property in an effort to get the attention of village leaders says he has reached a compromise to remove the cars.
Matt Straker said after the special Tuesday meeting that he would remove the cars after council installs a grate to keep people and large debris from going under the building on the prominent Sandusky Street property where the cars are located, Mr. Straker said.
He will have 10 days after employees of the Logan County Engineer’s Office install the grate at a cost not to exceed $500, which will be paid from the village’s street fund.
