In an effort to get the most out of his team this season, West Liberty-Salem head boys basketball coach Darrin Leichty asked his players for some help.
Leichty has requested each player come up with an inspirational quote as well as bring a new drill to practice.
“It is something I came up with this year to build ownership,” said Leichty. “I want the guys to feel like they have some say in what we do.”
The plan has worked.
Showing off the unselfish play that has fueled an 11-game winning streak, the Tigers ran away from visiting Greeneview for a 67-45 victory on Tuesday in an Ohio Heritage Conference contest.
