A big first quarter helped set the tone for Triad in a 63-55 win over host Northeastern on Tuesday in Ohio Heritage Conference action.
The Cardinals are now 11-5 overall and 5-5 in the OHC and edged the Jets 51-48 earlier in the season. The Jets fall to 5-10, 2-7.
Triad took control quickly after a 20-4 first quarter. The Jets clipped the Cardinals 16-15 in the second quarter, but still trailed 35-20 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Triad outscored Northeastern 15-10 to maintain a 51-30 cushion. The Jets attempted to rally in the fourth quarter with a 25-12 run, but still came up short.
Offensively, Hadley LeVan led the Cardinals with 19 points, Colby Watson tallied 17 points and Ryan Boyd added 14 points.
Triad hosts Cedarville tonight for another OHC contest.
