A bright sunny day Thursday afforded employees of the Bellefontaine Parks and Recreation District an opportunity to get out and get some work done in the parks. Among the work was a noteworthy project at Harmon Field to set an expressions swingset made possible by a donation from the Bellefontaine Rotary Club. The new swings will allow an adult and child to sit on a glider facing one another so they can see each other’s faces while playing. A project to repair the roofs of nearby shelter houses damaged by an arson fire is also ongoing. There will be a dedication ceremony later this spring to unveil the new additions at Harmon Field, Parks Superintendent Kris Myers reports. (EXAMINER PHOTOS | REUBEN MEES)
