Riverside’s softball team could not get its bats going Saturday as host Sidney recorded a 7-0 non-league win.
The loss drops the Pirates to 14-7 on the season.
Sidney did all of its scoring in the early innings. The Yellow Jackets scored two runs in the first inning and five runs in the second inning for a 7-0 cushion.
Riverside was held to just two hits.
