Riverside’s girls basketball team used a big third quarter to put away host Urbana 50-32 on Monday in a non-league game.
The win snaps a nine-game losing skid by the Pirates, who are now 2-12 on the season. They last won on Dec. 5 against Indian Lake.
“We have only had a healthy and full team for about two weeks,” said RHS head coach Danielle King. “It was nice to see us put it all together for four quarters. The girls needed a win like that.”
