Riverside’s softball team clinched a share of the Northwest Central Conference championship Wednesday after defeating visiting Upper Scioto Valley 8-2.
The Pirates are now 18-6 overall and 9-1 in the NWCC. They share the league title with Hardin Northern, which also has a 9-1 mark.
“The girls took a little bit to get the bats going, but they played good defense when needed and came away with the victory,” said RHS head coach Andy Phelps.
