For the second year in a row, Riverside’s Kristin Davison and head coach Andy Phelps earned the Northwest Central Conference’s top honors.
A senior, Davidson was named the NWCC player of the year after hitting .543 with 17 RBI and six doubles. Phelps earned coach of the year and has led the Pirates to two consecutive district title game appearances.
Riverside went undefeated in the NWCC this spring with a 7-0 record and Elgin came in second with a 6-1 mark. Ridgemont finished seventh with a 2-5 record.
Earning first-team honors for Riverside were Davidson, Marissa Davis, Jalynn Stanley and Shelby Giles. Second-team honors went to Alexis Snow.
