Logan Stobbe hit a three-run triple with two outs in the top of the eighth inning to send Riverside past host Bellefontaine 5-2 in eight innings Monday at Blue Jacket Park.
The Pirates improve their record to 20-7 on the season and the Chiefs drop to 19-8.
Hits were hard to come by early in the game as both teams combined for just four hits through five innings.
Bellefontaine battled through the rainy conditions to score a run in the first inning and a run in the second innings for an early 2-0 lead.
Riverside would grind out a run in the third inning and a run in the fifth inning for a 2-2 tie.
The Pirates loaded the bases in the top of the eighth inning with two outs. That set the stage for Stobbe, who emptied the bases with his clutch hit.
