Riverside’s softball team had no trouble with visiting Waynesfield-Goshen on Thursday as the Pirates rolled to an 18-3 win in five innings.

The Pirates boost their record 12-2 overall and 6-0 in the NWCC standings.
Riverside jumped out with five runs in the bottom of the first inning and then piled up six more runs in the bottom of the second inning. That vaulted the Pirate to an 11-0 cushion.
The Pirates scored three more runs in the bottom of the third inning for an 14-0 lead. The Tigers scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning, but the Pirates answered with four more runs in the bottom of the frame to make it an 18-3 advantage.
