Riverside’s boys basketball team wrapped up its weekend with its second win on as many nights as it dropped visiting Vanlue 66-32 on Saturday in a non-league game.
The Pirates defeated Lehman Catholic 65-60 on Friday and Saturday’s win brings their record to 5-4 on the season.
“This was a nice weekend for us,” said RHS head coach Dean Sanford. “We did a really good job taking care of the ball and our defense played well. The kids are all having fun playing basketball right now and they are looking forward to Botkins on Tuesday.
“They are really starting to come together as a group and these last two games they’ve shown that. I really like the direction we are going in and hopefully we can continue to do that going into next week.”
