Benjamin Logan’s volleyball team dropped a heartbreaking five-set match to visiting Jonathan Alder on Tuesday in Central Buckeye Conference play.

The Raiders won the first two sets 29-27, 25-20, but saw the Pioneers rally to win the next three 25-15, 25-21, 15-8.
The loss makes the Raiders 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the CBC. The Pioneers are off to a 1-0, 1-0 start.
Sarah VanDyke led Ben Logan’s efforts with 15 kills, eight blocks and eight digs, Stanleigh Archer had 13 kills, 12 digs and two blocks, Bailey Shope had four kills, three blocks and 17 digs and Kinzie Jones led the team defense with 22 digs.
Jonathan Alder won the junior varsity game 25-12, 21-25, 25-9. Sammie Green led the Raiders with five kills, Savana Cronkleton had three kills and three blocks, Madison Keller delivered seven assists, Baylie Levan had 12 digs, Sydney Kossel tallied three kills and three aces and Hannah O’Brien had five digs.
In the freshman match, the Pioneers won 25-10, 25-16. Corinne Herring had four assists and was 7-7 serving with an ace and Sidney Puckett had three kills for the Raiders.
Ben Logan hosts Bellefontaine on Thursday for a local CBC matchup.
