Phyllis Marie Ropp, who would have been 93 years old next month, passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020, in Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
She was born in Harrison Township, Logan County, on Aug. 5, 1927, the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Allmon) LeVan. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Crystal (Clyde) Ropp.
On Aug. 5, 1948, she married Emanuel Joseph Ropp and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2011, after being married for 63 years.
She is survived by their one daughter, Diana (Warren) Baughman of Bellefontaine, a brother, Richard (Linda) LeVan of West Liberty, a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Ropp of Marysville and she has left many other relatives.
Phyllis graduated in 1945 from Monroe High School and was a member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine in her younger years. In her later years, she was active, attended, and supported the Bellefontaine First Church of God.
She was a homemaker and took many of her vacations in the camper with Emanuel. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, making greeting cards, and doing crafts.
Per Phyllis’s request, there will be no services and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Liberty.
