Phillip E. Wilcoxon, 77, of Lakeview, OH passed away, Thursday, July 14, 2022, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, OH.
Phillip was born on July 10, 1945, in Urbana, OH, a son of the late Marvin A. Wilcoxon and Edna M. Moore Wilcoxon Costello. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Harvey Keyes III, and a brother, Gary Wilcoxon.
Phillip is survived by three daughters, Trish Wilcoxon and Tammy Wilcoxon, both of Aberdeen, MD, and Kelly Wilcoxon-Porter of Lakeview, two stepsons, Chuck (Terri) Clark and Tim Clark, both of Belle Center, OH, 10 grandchildren, Jay Eller, Megan Eller, Talon Kornegan, Kashton Phillip Wilcoxon, Blaze Clark, Heather Clark, Kaylee Clark, Katie Clark, Tiffany Clark, and Tabbithia Clark, 10 great grandchildren, four siblings, Marvin “Sonny” (Peggy) Wilcoxon, Loretta (Denny) Kramer, Linda (Fred) Davis, and Cindy (Terry) Predmore, all of Bellefontaine, his stepmother, Betty Wilcoxon, four step-sisters, Charlotte(Gary) Dyer, Deborah(Pat) Weaks, Mary Jo (Joe) Daniels and Karen Elliott and several nieces and nephews.
Phillip was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Bellefontaine Amvets Post #105. He enjoyed fishing, watching baseball and football as an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, watching NASCAR, tinkering, and fixing anything he could, cooking, going to yard sales, and playing the lottery. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving and wonderful Dad and Awesome Grandpa that will be greatly missed by his family.
A memorial service will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview with visitation two hours prior to services. Military Rites will be performed by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to his family in care of Shoffstall Funeral Home.
