Paul H. Blair, 76, of rural Bellefontaine, passed away at 7:26 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
He was born Feb. 25, 1940, in rural Logan County, a son of the late Carrol & Ruth Yoder Blair, whom he now joins in Heaven.
He also was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Jim Blair and sisters Frances Neese and Sally Roth.
In 1966, he married the former Brenda Galluzzo and they were married 45 years, before she passed away in 2011.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Blair of West Liberty; a son, Dr. Russell (Abbey) Blair of Rocky River; three grandsons, Dylan, Ian and Hayden Blair; and several nieces and nephews.
Paul worked in the warehouse for Super Foods and later Nash Finch Company for 35 years before retirement. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in the early 1960s. He had served as an elected Jefferson Township Trustee in addition to operating a mowing business after his retirement, which he was very proud of. He also enjoyed tractor pulls and attending fairs.
Pastor Scott Miller officiates a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St. Bellefontaine, where visitation is two hours prior to the service. Burial is in Zanesfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Benjamin Logan FFA and to the Logan County 4-H program.
