Daijia Martin, 28, of Lima, was arrested on an out-of-county warrant following a 1:39 p.m. traffic stop executed Sunday, April 7, by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department in the area of westbound U.S. Route 33 between State Route 540 and U.S. Route 68.
Officers stopped a black Acura with Florida license plates driven by Christopher Clincy, 35, of Columbus, for speeding. Upon making contact with the driver, Clincy, officers learned his license was suspended in the state of Florida due to failure to pay child support. The state of Ohio ID card provided to police was expired, and so too was registration on the vehicle.
Police also learned that Martin had an arrest warrant out of Mansfield Municipal Court for failure to appear. Clincy was charged with child support suspension, speeding and driving with expired registration. Martin was taken into custody on the warrant and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
