Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office on patrol in the area of U.S. Route 68 and State Route 638 observed the pair’s vehicle about 8:15 p.m. driving slowly and then observed lane violations and a stop sign violation at county roads 37 and 39.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies recovered a suspected crystal methamphetamine, digital scales, glass pipes and other drug abuse instruments, along with a pistol and a “slapjack” weighted weapon.
They were placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail. At the jail, corrections officers located a pipe with suspected marijuana on Mr. Latham, and he also was charged with conveyance of drugs into a detention facility.
Related to the traffic offenses, Mr. Latham was cited for driving under suspension and a stop sign violation.
