Terry Jones, 52, of 608 Brown St., West Mansfield, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs related to an incident Sunday morning.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to his residence about 11:20 a.m. in reference to a domestic dispute. The caller, Linda Johnson, said her boyfriend, Jones, had scared her and she locked him out of the house.
She said he was extremely intoxicated and had left their address in a vehicle.
Johnson said she was not physically injured, but the defendant had been yelling at her that day.
While deputies were speaking with Johnson, the defendant drove up his driveway in the vehicle. He reportedly exited the vehicle and was unsteady on his feet and showed other signs of intoxication.
He submitted to field sobriety tests, and at the Logan County Jail, he provided two breath samples, 0.215 and 0.194.
• Brittney J. Brooks, 24, of Lima, was charged with OVI and was cited for driving under a 12-point suspension and for a marked lanes violation during a traffic stop late Friday evening.
Deputies on patrol in the area of County Road 36 and State Route 117 observed her vehicle make several marked lanes violations about 11:50 p.m.
She was administered field sobriety tests, and at the Logan County Jail, she refused to take a breath test. Deputies report she has one prior OVI arrest in 2016.
• James E. Saunders, 43, of 2033 State Route 540, Bellefontaine, was charged with OVI and was cited for failure to drive in marked lanes during a traffic stop at 10:35 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies observed the defendant’s eastbound vehicle make a number of marked lanes violations in the area of U.S. Route 33 after leaving the village of Russells Point. They also noted that the vehicle would speed up to 50 mph and then slow down to 30 mph.
Deputies observed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage upon making contact with the driver. Saunders submitted to field sobriety tests, and at the jail, he tested a 0.240 blood alcohol content level.
Brother jailed for domestic violence

Billy A. Thomas, 48, of 4000 Lincoln Blvd., Apt. 1, Russells Point, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident Saturday afternoon where he allegedly assaulted his sister.
Deputies were dispatched to his address about 3:25 p.m. in reference to an intoxicated man who had been involved in an assault.
His sister, Pamela Smith, and her husband, James, reported that Thomas had been very angry and also intoxicated that day. The defendant allegedly began attacking his sister, and started to choke her.
The Smiths also said they wanted Thomas to move out of their home.
While speaking with deputies, Mrs. Smith said she was having trouble catching her breath, and she was transported by Indian Lake squad to Mary Rutan Hospital.
Thomas was arrested and transported to the jail.
