A group of local incoming kindergartners learned fire safety techniques last week during the annual Russells Point Safety Town. With support from the Indian Lake business community and other agencies and volunteers, Safety Town also teaches pedestrian safety, traffic signals and signs, fire safety, good and bad touch, stranger danger and the hazards of drugs. The Russells Point Police Department adds gun safety, boating, water and park safety. ODNR Wildlife officers taught proper fishing techniques and each participant left with a new fishing pole on graduation day. (PHOTO | RUSSELLS POINT POLICE DEPARTMENT)
