Olijean W. “Jean” Scott, 81, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at her residence. She was born in Pike County, Ky., on Jan. 22, 1937, to the late Jonah and Ruby Riddell Stiltner.
On Jan. 25, 1986, she married Wilkie Travis Scott and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2013. She was also preceded in death by two previous husbands, Avery Wilson and Frank Woolson; brothers, John Samuel Stiltner, Thomas Stiltner, Henry Stiltner and William Stiltner; and a sister, Mary Stiltner.
She is survived by a son, Jonah Wilson; sisters, Golda (Jack) Scott and Bonnie Lou Church; stepdaughter, Renee (Troy) Stamper; stepson, Wilkie Douglas Scott; and many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren.
Jean was a Freewill Baptist. She was a hard working woman. Jean worked on cars and took care of her lawn. She enjoyed drinking her hot tea and loved cats.
Visitation is form 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes St., DeGraff. A funeral begins at 12:30 p.m.Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the Fairview Cemetery in Quincy.
