Police hope video will lead to hit-skip driver
Surveillance footage from Iron City Sports Bar, 1133 S. Main St., may help officers locate a motorist who backed a dark-color Ford F-150 into a stop sign on Pine Avenue behind the restaurant around 11 p.m. Thursday.
A resident heard the collision and watched as a passenger exited the pickup truck, spotted the damaged sign, inspected the vehicle for damage and quickly got back into the pickup.
The driver sped off and out of the parking lot to head northbound on Main.
An Iron City employee said she would contact a manager to review the surveillance footage and contact officers.
The broken sign and post were removed from the roadway by officers.
