No citations were issued Tuesday after a woman and child were struck by a car while in a crosswalk at Sandusky Avenue and Main Street.
Whitney R. Judd, 27, of Bellefontaine, and Nathan Prall, 3, of Lima, had just entered a crosswalk on the west side of the intersection to traverse southward around 1:35 p.m.
At the same time, Margaret R. Barger, 73, of Bellefontaine, was turning her car from northbound Main to head west. She reportedly did not see the two pedestrians.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department interviewed Judd and Barger and three witnesses at the scene. They were unable to determine if anyone was at fault.
Neither Judd nor the boy had apparent injuries. Even so, they were transported by a Bellefontaine squad to Mary Rutan Hospital for evaluation.
• Steven D. Merrin, 50, of Bellefontaine, was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead after a two-vehicle crash at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday on Harding Street near Dodge Avenue.
He was northbound in a pickup truck and failed to observe a stopped car operated by Brooklyn P. Buffkin, 18, of Bellefontaine.
There were no reported injuries and damage was light to the vehicles.
• John Goodbread, 58, of Nashville, Tenn., was cited for failure to control Tuesday when he attempted to turn an eastbound tractor-trailer from Auburn Avenue onto southbound Elm Street around 1 p.m.
The trailer struct a utility pole and fire hydrant at the corner. Damage was moderate to the trailer.
