Three arts organizations in Logan County recently have been named the recipients of four different grants through the Ohio Arts Council for fiscal year 2018, among nearly $1.3 million in grant funds awarded to Western Ohio groups and approximately $12 million awarded in the state.
Both the Logan County Landmark Preservation Inc. and the Mad River Theater Works have been awarded Sustainability Grants totaling $11,410 and $9,372, respectively.
The Logan County Landmark Preservation Inc. board of directors runs the Holland Theatre at 127 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine, and Mad River Theater Works’ facility is housed at 2790 Sandusky St., Zanesfield.
Chris Westhoff, managing director of both theaters, said the Sustainability Grants benefit the organizations’ general funds for programming and operations.
“We very much appreciate the support of the Ohio Arts Council,” he said. “It’s a great program that we’ve subscribed to in the past to help with our general operations.”
