Man lodged for domestic violence
Jud A. White, 70, of 12525 W. State Route 47, Quincy, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident Friday morning at his residence.
Deputies responded to the residence about 10:50 a.m. on a report of a domestic violence complaint. They met with White’s wife and his stepdaughter in the driveway.
The stepdaughter, age 42, told deputies that the defendant had assaulted her. Deputies observed red scratch marks on both sides of her neck.
The stepdaughter said she and the defendant had been in a verbal argument. Then while she was in the bathroom, he reportedly opened the bathroom door and dumped the contents of a trash can on her and allegedly hit her in the head with the trash can.
She said White then grabbed her by the throat and slammed her into the shower.
The defendant told deputies that his stepdaughter had been calling him names, and that’s when he entered the bathroom. He stated that he grabbed her after she struck him in the chest. Deputies observed a small scratch at the base of his neck.
Deputies determined that White was the primary physical aggressor in the incident and placed him under arrest. He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
