Hunter L. Burris, 30, of 160 Lakewood Drive, Apt. 26, was charged Sunday with possession of drugs.
Around 5:10 p.m., he was stopped as he drove into his apartment complex for driving under suspension. An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department on patrol recognized him and initiated the stop after a records check confirmed Burris’ driving privileges were suspended.
Burris was ordered out of the vehicle and consented to a search. The officer found a folded piece of paper in the interior band of the suspect’s hat. It contained fentanyl.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
• Jeremy S. Lawson, 31, of 316 Ludlow Road, was charged Jan. 19, with domestic violence.
A passing motorist reported a fight outside the residence at 11:10 a.m.
Shyanne M. Lawson told officers the couple was reportedly arguing when she picked up a frying pan and threatened her husband. He retaliated, grabbing her by the throat and took her to the floor. She went outside to a van, but her husband allegedly pulled her from the vehicle.
Officers were in the process of issuing summonses to both when the husband was observed flipping a cigarette at his wife.
He was lodged in jail. A summons was not issued to the woman but the case was referred to prosecutors for consideration of charges.
• Leanne A. Keating, 27, of 425 Kent Drive, Apt. 7, was charged with persistent disorderly conduct after repeated outbursts that disturbed her roommates and neighbor between 3:50 and 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
She was lodged in jail.
• Stephany D. McCleese, 44, at large, was charged Sunday with criminal trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 4 p.m., police were notified by store staff at Village Pantry, 200 E. Sandusky Ave., McCleese had entered the business after she had been told three times in the past not to come back.
She was taken into custody and transported to jail where staff found a glass pipe with a bowl typically used for abusing methamphetamine.
• Thomas P. Donnelly, 67, at large, was charged with criminal trespass Thursday. Surveillance video footage showed him inside Original Blonde Welding & Fabrication, 1370 N. Main St.
He had been told to stay off the property from a previous incident. He was located on the south end of Bellefontaine and served a summons.
• Robert A. Dickinson Jr., 42, of 513 W. Columbus Ave., was lodged in jail Saturday on a warrant.
Tools, ladder stolen from pickup
John Reid of Bellefontaine reported two tool boxes and a ladder were stolen from his pickup truck while parked at Bellefontaine High School, 555 E. Lake Ave., between 5-7:50 p.m. Saturday. He estimated the loss at more than $800.
