William J. Davis, 59, of Russells Point, did not report any injuries following a crash Monday morning after his vehicle struck black ice along west State Route 274.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating a westbound 2016 Ford Fusion near County Road 21 about 5:10 a.m. when the vehicle struck the black ice and spun in the road. Then the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, grazing a utility pole and striking the ditch before coming to a final rest.
Damage was moderate to the car. No damage was reported to the utility pole, and deputies said therefore, no citations were issued. The driver was wearing his seat belt.
