Jamie Tilton, 38, of 709 W. Columbus Ave., was charged Sunday with assault.
Around 1:20 p.m., he allegedly kneed Jon Bray, 713 W. Columbus Ave., in the ribs and knocked him to the ground. Mr. Bray said he was attacked after asking the suspect not to throw a football against the Bray residence or his car.
Mr. Tilton admitted to officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department he attacked his neighbor and was arrested.
Victim says suspect groped her
Brian J. Evans, 35, of 1120 W. Sandusky Ave., was arrested Sunday for sexual imposition.
A 37-year-old Bellefontaine woman told officers the suspect offered her a ride from the Heritage Court area to her home several days ago.
She got into the vehicle and the suspect began to grope her.
She told police she was able to get out of the car but left her cellular phone behind.
The suspect was found at his residence, arrested and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Several face alcohol charges
Kevin E. Chamberlin, 34, of 1145 Greenwood St., was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was cited for speed, failure to drive in the marked lanes of the road and not using a safety belt after a 1:10 a.m. traffic stop Sunday.
He was observed driving northbound at 45 mph on Main Street near Lake Avenue. Officers also report he was weaving and turned wide from Main onto Washington Avenue.
Officers report he was verbally unresponsive to questions and fumbled to turn off the vehicle ignition and extract the keys.
He declined field sobriety tests and would not give a breathalyzer sample.
He was lodged in jail.
• Todd A. Kipker, 51, of 126 S. Township Road 46, was charged Saturday with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to drive in the marked lanes of the road and driving on the wrong side of the road.
Around 1:40 a.m., he was observed driving over the fog line of Rush Avenue and then crossing into the eastbound lane of Dowell Avenue after turning west onto Dowell.
Officers detected an odor of alcohol while talking to the motorist. He admitted to drinking alcohol and told an officer to take him to jail as he was intoxicated.
He did not participate in field sobriety tests, nor did he supply an adequate breathalyzer sample.
• Dallas C. McKinley, 40, of 117 W. Brown Ave., Apt. 2, was charged around 1 p.m. Saturday with persistent disorderly conduct. He was drunk and belligerent to officers after several calls to his residence. He was lodged in jail.
• Jermaine E. Artis, 40, of 509 Walker St., was charged Saturday with public intoxication and having an open container of alcohol in public.
He was found sitting on a front porch at 323 N. Detroit St. around 3:50 p.m. and he was not welcome at the residence. He was released to a sober friend.
• Scott M. Klinker, 34, of Delaware, was charged Friday with public intoxication. Officers were called to Super 8 Motel, 1117 N. Main St., around 9:25 p.m. after he attempted to drive from the motel. He was found unconscious in a parked vehicle.
Officers took him into custody as he had nowhere to stay.
• Robert B. Campbell Sr., 57, of 329 E. Sandusky Ave., Apt. 1, was arrested for public intoxication around 7 p.m. Friday for public intoxication.
He was found stumbling about his neighborhood and was arrested and lodged in jail.
