A mysterious and spooky, and altogether ooky musical comedy will take the stage at the Indian Lake High School auditorium at 8 p.m. Friday, March 1, and Saturday, March 2, when the ILHS Musical Department presents The Addams Family.

Joyce King, who directs the performance with Rebecca Taylor, said Tuesday evening durig a dress rehearsal that audience members can expect some of the usual Addams Family characters and antics in the show, but with a twist. In the musical’s story line, Wednesday Addams is now grown up and has brought her “normal” boyfriend to visit her family, much to their displeasure.
“They’re having a lot of fun with this production,” King said of the cast members. “This is a show that’s different than anything they’ve done before — it’s not your typical happy and cheerful musical.
“They’re a seasoned cast with a number of seniors that have been wonderful to work with. They’re a dedicated group of students.”
