Myles Lukas Alexander Gammell, 3 months, received his heavenly wings on Sunday, October 16, 2022, while at Dayton Children’s Hospital.
Myles was born on June 24, 2022, in Columbus, OH, a son of Zail Gammell and Mikala Lykins, who survive. He is also survived by three siblings, Ariel Clark, Cyrus Conner, and Daylin Lykins, maternal grandparents, Jessica Copas, and Casey Lykins, paternal grandparents, Jennifer Leugers and Brian Gilliam, and Michael Gammell, maternal great grandparents, Denise Copas, and Chris and Terry Lykins, paternal great grandparents, Roger and Kim Leugers, and Mike and Margaret Gammell, aunts and uncles, Madison Lykins, Macey Lykins, Harley Smith, Jolee Smith, Leah Smith, Byron Gilliam, Nancy and Troy Stevens, Kim Haude and Matt Armstrong, Jesse Odle, Kelli and Robert Volbrecht, and Pam Boone. Myles is preceded in death by maternal great grandfather, Fred Copas, and an uncle, Roger Leugers II.
Myles was a happy individual full of laughter who was affectionately called “Smiles Myles” by his mom, whom he always looked for, due to his smile that would light up the room. He was very interactive with others and enjoyed looking at trees, and lights, watching TV and listening to music. Myles gave the gift of life to others through organ donation.
Charesa Smith will begin services at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 23, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview with visitation from 2-4 pm.
