Area residents have the chance to meet one of the best offensive lineman in NFL history Friday evening during a tailgate party that continues a tradition of celebrating a county rivalry in high school football.
Anthony Munoz, an 11-time Pro Bowl selection for the Cincinnati Bengals and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, will be a guest at the Bellefontaine Police Department tailgate that takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Blue Jacket Park prior to the Bellefontaine and Indian Lake game.
Munoz will be available for pictures and autographs from 6 to 6:30 p.m.
“The excitement is building,” police department members said via Facebook. “Join us for a rare chance to meet one of the Gold Jackets of the Pro Football Hall of Fame…
“Please expect a large crowd. He’ll do the best he can to accommodate our fans, but please know he may not be able to get to all fans.”
The tailgate party also includes free food and drinks and the chance to watch a CareFlight landing and check out their medical air support.
There is no cost of admission for the tailgate party.
Regular admission charges (through the online ticketing platform) will apply for the Indian Lake and Bellefontaine High School game at AcuSport Stadium.
