Curtis E. Barger, 33, of 6742 Willoby St., Huntsville, was arrested Saturday for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for failure to drive in the marked lanes of the road and having an open container of alcohol after an 11:30 p.m. traffic stop at County Road 39 and State Route 274.
He was stopped by deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office for the marked lanes violation. He appeared to be intoxicated and field sobriety tests supported that observation.
At the sheriff’s office, he submitted a breath test of 0.216.
• Seth Newman, 20, of 633 N. Main St., was charged with underage consumption of alcohol after deputies responded to a report of a suspicious parked vehicle around 6:45 a.m. Sunday.
He was found in the vehicle parked behind a barn at 7305 County Road 2.
Deputies determined the driver had been drinking alcohol and had parked his vehicle near the barn to sleep. He was issued a summons for underage consumption of alcohol.
A relative was contacted to take possession of the vehicle and to care for the motorist.
