Sheena D. Snapp-Solomon, 37, of 1305 Milligan Drive, was charged with endangering children and operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs after a 12:35 p.m. hit and run crash Wednesday. She was cited for leaving the scene of crash and failure to control.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report she was driving a pickup truck and hit a flag pole at First Christian Church, 215 E. Sandusky Ave. She dropped off her three-year-old son for preschool and drove away even though she was told not leave by school staff who witnessed the crash.
She was located at her home and admitted to drinking two drinks that day. According to incident reports, she had an odor of alcohol on her breath; she was unsteady on her feet; her speech was slurred; and she had bloodshot, glassy eyes.
Field sobriety tests indicated she was impaired by alcohol and her breathalyzer sample was 0.395.
Driver cited for passing bus
Blondina M. Keykens-Robinson, 37, of 1541 County Road 10, was issued a traffic citation for failure to stop for school bus.
A Bellefontaine City Schools bus driver filed a complaint Friday alleging Keykens-Robinson passed the bus while stopped on Organ Street and Reservoir Road as students were exiting the vehicle.
She was contacted by officers and admitted to passing the bus claiming she did not observed a stop sign deployed from the side of the bus.
Dog owner cited
Colten J. Hanna, 26, of 600 S. Detroit St., was charged with have dogs at large after an officer picked up his two dogs at ISS America, 301 Carter Ave., around 11:10 a.m. Thursday. He has been warned twice in recent weeks abut the dogs running loose.
