Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded Wednesday afternoon to a vehicle complaint that ultimately led to locating a missing man from Pennsylvania.
Deputies responded about 4:55 p.m. to the residence of Russell Varner, 2477 E. State Route 47, Bellefontaine, after he found an unknown vehicle parked in his barn.
The vehicle reportedly had no license plates, but utilizing the vehicle identification number, the vehicle was traced to an owner in Pennsylvania. The vehicle owner’s son, Alexander Winebark, 26, had been reported missing and was the primary driver of the vehicle.
Working with Pennsylvania State Police and also receiving tips from area residents, deputies located Mr. Winebark unharmed about 5 a.m. today on Township Road 230.
The Rossiter, Pa., resident was first transported to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and then to Mary Rutan Hospital for evaluation.
Husband lodged for domestic violence

Aaron L. Stoner, 34, of 9829 Eagle Drive, Seminole Island, was charged with domestic violence following an incident Wednesday evening at his residence.
Deputies responded to his address about 8:20 p.m., and spoke with Mr. Stoner and his wife, Jessica, 19.
She reported during an argument, her husband broke a candle and had threatened to punch her. Mr. Stoner reportedly was uncooperative with deputies, and told them, “just take me to jail.” He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
