Miriam Irene Fulmer, 97, of Huntsville, passed away at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Logan Acres Care Center. She was born in Richland Township, the daughter of the late Burtis and Ursula Rose Gillen.
In 1941, she married George L. Goetz, who was a casualty of World War II. In 1948, she married Jesse E. Fulmer and he passed away in 1986. A daughter, Linda Goetz, also preceded her in death in 1982.
She is survived by two daughters, Roxie (Norman K.) Tracy and Marilyn Wilson, both of Huntsville. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her joy, Joel (Sandi) Tracy, Heidi Tracy, Dora Tracy, Lance Wilson, Paige Wilson, Alexa, Ben and Will Tracy, Chloe and Lilly Grogean and Annalyn and Sparky Wilson; and special friends, Pina and Marvin Spring.
Miriam was a proud member of the Belle Center High School Class of 1939 and enjoyed spending time with her former classmates. In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening and growing roses. Miriam and her late husband enjoyed traveling with senior groups in retirement.
Pastor Ben Beres officiates a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, at the Huntsville Presbyterian Church, 6490 Fruit St., following calling that begins at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
