Menno Miller, 25, of Quincy, was transported by Riverside EMS to Wilson Health in Sidney for treatment of suspected minor injuries in a crash involving his Amish horse and buggy and a sport utility vehicle Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Breanna E. Dahlinghaus, 26, of Bellefontaine, was operating an eastbound Honda CR-V in the 11300 block of State Route 47 about 5:30 p.m. when her vehicle struck the rear of an eastbound buggy operated by Miller.
Deputies said the impact of the crash caused the horse and buggy to separate. The SUV also came to a rest off the right side of the road.
Dahlinghaus did not report any injuries and was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead. Damage was heavy to the buggy and to the SUV.
