The Midwest Regional Educational Service Center has been recommended by the Straight A Governing Board to receive grant funding for the 2016 fiscal year.
A total of 20 grants representing 86 schools were recommended by the board for $14.6 million in funding. The recommendations go to the Ohio Controlling Board Feb. 22 for final approval.
The Midwest Regional ESC, representing consortium members Indian Lake, Fairlawn and Upper Scioto Valley school districts, has requested $353,000 in funding for a project titled, “West Central Ohio Career Network.” Other partners for the project include Rhodes State College, local manufacturers Honda of America Mfg., Emerson and WIWA-LP, and community business organizations.
