The Logan-Union-Champaign Regional Planning Commission has been designated an Ohio Regional Transportation Planning Organization by Gov. John Kasich.
The designation covers Logan and Champaign counties, and it comes after LUC worked last year to complete its Regional Transportation Plan.
Through completion of the plan, LUC’s RTPO work shifted to implementing the plan. The plan revealed that more transportation data is needed in the Indian Lake area, which is leading to a study that LUC will manage this year to determine the impact of seasonal traffic and population on the Lake area’s transportation system. LUC Director Dave Gulden notes.
