The Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Services Board of Logan and Champaign Counties is hosting two mental health first aid training courses in September.
The free daylong course is designed to teach participants how to respond when someone is showing the signs and symptoms of mental illness, which affects one in five Americans.
The course will be offered in Logan County from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, at Mary Rutan Hospital’s Crossroads Business Center, 21 Hunter Place, Bellefontaine.
It will be offered again in Champaign County from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at the Champaign County Community Center, 1512 S. U.S. Route 68, Urbana.
