McDonald’s, 1780 S. Main St., was evacuated around 9:55 a.m. Tuesday after the store received two calls within a minute.
The out-of-town caller first called at 9:53 a.m. and again at 9:54 a.m. He said there was a bomb in the building to get everyone out.
A bomb sniffing dog from Ohio Homeland Security responded and cleared the building just before noon.
Search warrant leads to drug seizures, arrests
Three people were lodged in the Logan County Jail after officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department served a search warrant around 3:45 p.m. at 605 W. Sandusky Ave.
Christian Irving, 34, of that address, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, two counts of illegal possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Juanita M. Hanson, 38, of Marysville, was lodged on a Union County probation violation while William C. Dempsey, 30, of Columbus, was served with a Coshocton County warrant for failure to appear.
Officers report seizing a large amount of methamphetamine; pills; digital scales; packaging materials; and a large amount of other drug paraphernalia.
• Robert A. Biddle Jr., 29, of West Liberty, was taken into custody around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday at 332 S. Detroit St. on warrant for failure to appear.
