Mary Lou Thomas, 91, of Bellefontaine and formerly of Belle Center, passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, in Logan Acres Care Center.
She was born in Belle Center on Nov. 20, 1925, a daughter of the late Raymond and Reba Mae Ewing Henry. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Earl Thomas in 1977; a granddaughter, Skyler Stamm; two sisters, Marjorie Cushwa and Carol Howell; and two brothers, Carl “Buzz” Henry and Edison Henry.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Ray) Stamm and Sandy (David) Bell, both of Bellefontaine; four grandchildren, Thomas A. (Rae Jean) Stamm, Stacie (Mark) Cooper and Tiffany King, all of Bellefontaine, and Matthew (Stacy) Bell of Denver, Colo.; five great-grandchildren, Haley Cooper, Georgia Cooper, Megan Boyer, Cody Bell and Anthony Stamm; one great-great-grandson, Grayson Boyer; two sisters, Betty Collum of Belle Center and Phyllis Hempy of Waldo; and a brother, Robert Henry of Rushsylvania.
Mary Lou worked as a bookkeeper for several area businesses. She volunteered at the Logan County Friendly Senior Center in Bellefontaine and enjoyed playing bingo.
Pastor Kevin Smith officiates a funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth St., Belle Center, where visitation begins at noon the day of the funeral.
Burial is in Roundhead Cemetery.
