MARYSVILLE — Jeffery H.S. Martinez was sentenced Thursday to 30 months in prison for leaving a written bomb threat in a bathroom inside the Marysville Auto Plant on March 30.
The 30-year-old Bellefontaine resident’s action led the automaker’s security personnel to evacuate around 2,000 Honda of America Manufacturing Inc. associates and a number of contractors and visitors from the plant.
He was an NEX Transport Inc. employee at the time.
He pleaded guilty July 19 to a third-degree felony count of inducing panic.
Thursday, Union County Common Pleas Judge Don W. Fraser handed down the prison term and ordered the defendant to pay $150,000 to Honda as restitution.
