Mark E. Smith, 50, of North Lewisburg, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016, as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born July 20, 1965, in Madison, Wis.
Mark was a 1983 graduate of Triad High School. He was employed with Peterson Construction as a brick mason and was a member of the Brick Layers Local 55.
He was always willing to do anything for anyone and always willing to help out his community whenever he could. He coached baseball, advised 4-H, built the concession stand at the ball park and the dugouts at the new Triad High school baseball and softball fields.
Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, being I, Apollo’s biggest fan, spending time with his family, watching them play their sports and other activities and the University of Michigan football, GO BLUE!!
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Robin Bostick Smith; his children, Brennan Holt (Brandy Nicole Enochs) Smith, Cole Logan Smith and Paxton Brooks Smith; his parents, Gary Lee and Annette Rose Smith; his brothers, Kurt (Elizabeth) Smith and Bret (Debbie) Smith; his mother- and father-in-law, Sharon and Howard Bostick; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Riley E. and Mable Browning Rose, Arthur Smith and Cecil and Mary Bumpus Cobb.
Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at Freshwater, McDonald & Vernon Funeral Home, North Lewisburg, where the Rev. Robert Custer officiates a funeral at 11 a.m. Monday, July 18.
Memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for his daughter, Paxton, in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 125, North Lewisburg, OH 43060.
