Marion Lee Coyer, 65, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, in the OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born in Bellefontaine on Nov. 14, 1951, a son of the late Benjamin and Mildred Horne Coyer.
On March 4, 2003, he married Violet Cauley, and she survives along with one daughter, Margaret Ann; four grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret (Kenneth) Frazier and Florence Ellis; two brothers, Frank Coyer and Clarence Coyer; a cousin, Marion Coyer; a sister-in-law, Norma Coyer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marion had worked for Silco Manufacturing in Bellefontaine and later he worked as a crossing guard. A member of Sons of AMVETS, he enjoyed helping the color guard and serving the AMVETS of Lakeview, Bellefontaine and Kenton. Marion was active with The Woodsman Band. He was a prankster who liked to laugh and joke.
In his spare time, Marion loved to fish, camp, watch television, drink soda pop and most especially spend time with his family. He was a man who loved everyone and would help anyone. He will be deeply missed.
Nate Wilcoxon will officiate a memorial service at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, at the First Church of God, 315 Liberty St., West Liberty, where the family will receive friends from noon until the time of the service.
