Marilyn Kay Watt (Jones), age 85 of Bellefontaine, OH and Tavares, FL, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, at Good Shephard Memorial Hospital in Lakeland, FL.
Marilyn was born on May 4, 1937, in Bellefontaine, OH, to the late Virgil and Ruth Terell. She married Alfred “Lee” Jones on July 31, 1953. He precedes her in death. She later married John Watt of Bellefontaine, OH in 1997. He also precedes her in death.
She is survived by her three children Danny (Elaine) Jones of Huber Heights, OH, Georgie (Dennis) Chickey of North Port, FL., and Terry Jones of Lakeland, FL. She is also survived by her grand-children Nathan (Shellie) Jones of Moraine, OH, Danny Jones Jr. of Wapakoneta, OH, Rusty (Casey) Jones of Buckland, OH, Melinda (Tonya) Ropp of Myrtle Beach, SC, Marilee (Steve) Johnson of West Liberty, OH, Michael (Sammy) Ropp of Enon, OH, and Christopher (Chelsea) Jones of Mechanicsburg, OH.
She is also survived by ten great grandchildren and a great-great-grand daughter, who she was very excited to meet this summer.
Marilyn grew up in Springhills and graduated from Graham. She was a life-long member of Springhills Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the West Liberty Lions Club and the Bellefontaine Eagles. She enjoyed socializing at the Bellefontaine Senior Center, as well as traveling to Florida during the winter months. Family was always the highlight of her life.
The family is holding a memorial service for her on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the First Presbyterian Church in Troy, OH, at 11 a.m.
