Marian Ann Fultz, 85, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday, Feb, 1, 2019 ,at Green Hills Center Center. She fought a series of medical conditions that proved to be too much for the sweet person she was.
She was born Feb. 12, 1933, in Napoleon, a daughter of the late Carl and Emilie Freytag Panning.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Robert G.; children, Michael (Deborah) Fultz, Robert (Linda) Fultz, Richard (Lynne) Fultz, Susan (Gary) Shields and John (April) Fultz; sisters, Evelyn (Ellis) Mann and Joan Messner; brother, Robert Panning; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Panning.
Marian did a brief stint as a Navy wife and worked outside the home for a number of years at Lew’s IGA in Bellefontaine. But her real joy came as a wife and mother at which she excelled. Whenever her family gathers, the talk will shift to the wonderful meals and the love and care she provided. Marian enjoyed reading Christian fiction, especially books about the Amish. Marian was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Bellefontaine.
A gathering and remembrance service takes place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at First Lutheran Church, 208 W. Sandusky Ave., Bellefontaine. Interment is at a later date in Philadelphia Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers or remembrances, the family asks for donations to Lutheran Community Services, 223 Oakland Square, Bellefontaine OH 43311, to help provide food, shelter and necessities for those in need.
