Marguerite Yoder, 98, of West Liberty, passed away early Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, in Heartland of Indian Lake.
She was born Oct. 1, 1918, in West Liberty, a daughter of the late Leo A. and Maud Black Ashcraft. On Nov. 25, 1938, she married Maurice Christopher Yoder in West Liberty, and he preceded her in death in February 2008.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth ‘Jock’ Yoder in July 2014.
Survivors include a son, Gregory (Maureen) Yoder of Bellefontaine; six grandchildren, Gavin (Kristen) Yoder, Colin (Carrie) Yoder and Amy Jared, all of Bellefontaine, Grant (Elizabeth) Yoder of New Albany, Drew (Signe) Yoder of Upper Arlington and Justin Yoder of Columbus; eight great-grandchildren, Mullaney, Ethan, Liam, Carter, Caden, Leo, Dagne and Ingrid; a sister, Janice Ashcraft of West Liberty; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Yoder of Bellefontaine.
She was a long-time member of the West Liberty Presbyterian Church and also was a member of Sarah Elizabeth Chapter 335 of the Order of Eastern Star, West Liberty, and Daughters of American Revolution and she had volunteered at the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild for many years.
