Margery Headings, 94, of West Liberty, passed away at 1:25 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Green Hills Care Center. She was born in West Liberty, on Dec. 20, 1922, to the late John D. and Francis Yoder Hooley. On Aug. 3, 1944, she married Floyd Headings and he preceded her in death, Jan. 4, 1984. A sister, Mary Strayer, and brothers, Richard Hooley and David Hooley, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Jim (Barbara) Headings and Ralph (Vicki) Headings, both of DeGraff; grandchildren, Michael (Kim) Headings, Christopher (Rachel) Headings, Kelley (Gary) Whitehurst, Andrew (Janice) Headings and Sarah (Nic) Paul; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Gaylor (Celia) Hooley of West Liberty; and many nieces and nephews.
Margery was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine. She worked more than 20 years in the housekeeping department at Green Hills Care Center. Margery enjoyed cooking, landscaping and planting flowers. All who loved Margery will miss her.
Pastor Jeff Willetts and the Rev. Gary Bragg officiate a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1140 Rush Ave., Bellefontaine, where visitation begins at noon. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty.
