Margaret “Tess” Carrel, 65, of Findlay, passed away at 12:49 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at her residence.
She was born in Findlay on June 9, 1950, to the late William and Julia Hogan Enck. Tess also was preceded in death by brother, Pat Enck.
She married Stephen Carrel on Nov. 4, 1979, and he survives, along with sons, Joseph Carrel and William (Shelley) Carrel, both of Findlay; granddaughter, Alyssa Carrel; and grandsons, Evan and Andrew Murkos.
Tess was a former co-owner of Enck’s and a lifelong member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and its Women’s Bible Study. She was the first person in Findlay to receive the Gold Shot for rheumatoid arthritis. She loved 1940s music and mystery novels.
A Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Downtown, Findlay, with Father Scott Wood as Celebrant. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hancock County Humane Society.
