Margaret Ann Beech, 52, of Russells Point, passed away Saturday evening, Oct. 3, 2020, at her residence.
Maggie was born in Lima, on Dec. 1, 1967, to Donald W. and Jean M. (Berning) Beech. She was preceded in death by her father Donald W. Beech, brother Christopher “Chip” Beech, and sister Lynne Beech.
Maggie worked for many years at the Bellefontaine Wal-Mart and enjoyed her job in customer service. She was diagnosed 15 years ago with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and had been preparing for a lung transplant to combat the progression of the disease. Maggie was a warrior, fighting not just for her own health, but for advancement in the understanding and management of Alpha-1. She was a member of the Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency Foundation and the Ohio State Transplant Support Group.
Maggie is survived by her daughter, the light of her life, Lynne Marie Beech of Russells Point; five grandchildren: Mariah, Savannah, Kiya, Porsha, and Lukas; her previous husband, Alan Keysor of Lima; step-mother Terry L. Beech of DeGraff; siblings: Michael (Diana) Beech of Quincy, Carol Alexander of Marion, Donald E. (Becky) Beech of North Carolina, and Charmin (Michael) Large of Bellefontaine; a step-sister Cheri Sutton of Bellefontaine; a step-brother Brian Sutton of DeGraff; several nieces and nephews, and four great-nieces. Maggie deeply loved her family.
A celebration of Maggie’s life will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Old Field Beach, Lakeview. A time of fellowship and food will follow the celebration.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to her daughter, Lynne Beech.
